4.1. How many divorce cases are there in Vietnam today?

4.2. Can the husband request a divorce if the wife is newly pregnant?

According to the provisions of the Law on Marriage and Family 2014, the husband does not have the right to request a divorce in the following cases:

– The wife is pregnant

– The wife gives birth or is raising a child under 12 months old

Therefore, according to the provisions of the law, when the wife is pregnant and in the marriage period, the husband does not have the right to unilaterally divorce. If he still wants a divorce, the husband must wait until the child is over 12 months old.

4.3. How to divide property after divorce?
